I was playing crysis, and my pc shuts down. No crash, just shut down. So, I reboot to an error saying that my gfx card is not getting sufficient power.

It's been working fine since I built this thing...why an issue now?

I noticed that the rivatuner controls are now disabled....could the fan running balls out cause this?

This sucks. It totally wiped out my presets for cooling the card. It made RT go nuts with popups looking for fan profiles, it killed the detection part of RT after re-installing it. And, worst of all,
CRYSIS LOOKS and PLAYS LIKE SHIT!

I think I'll try to roll back the drivers t what came with the card.....

I can't roll the drivers back, because SP2 won't use them. It says they're too old. So I have to use the newest ones....

Well....I disconnected the pci plug, and plugged in the 2nd one. So far, it seems to be OK, but idk yet.

Any chance the psu cooked 1 pci-e plug? Nothing stinks like cooked electricals. Maybe the plug vibrated out?

That's weird, I'm running a dual 8800 GTS setup and I havn't seen that problem.

Check that you aux power connections are good. What size PSU are you running?

550W Corsair. Bought new with rest of the stuff.

That should be enough power. Guess you'll have to wait for the new drivers and see how it goes.

Yea. Seems to be ok since I switched to the other connector. I'll switch them back later to test to see if PSU shit out already. But that doesn't make sense...should be either go or no go. Not in between.

That supply has a single 12v rail, so it may that the connector you used is a little loose.

Somehow, the plug did come loose. When I hooked the IDE-SATA adapters up, I plugged the other PCI plug into the card(the one I used 1st), and no problems.....weird. But it's all goot now
